SUMMARY:Introduction to Clay Shooting Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This event is to introduce you to the Clay Shooting games which there are five different games. We will start with the history of Clay shooting all the way to current. We will also explain how all five games work and the etiquette and safety rules for playing them. All types of shotguns and actions will be discussed and why you would need them. \nAfter the classroom part is done we will move to the Trap range for the shooting part of the class. This will be about 25 to 40 shells as needed per shooter. Our goal is to have each shooter brake 25% to 50% or an increase of 10%. \nCost of the Work Shop is $85.00

SUMMARY:Poker Shoot 2024
DESCRIPTION:The Poker Shoot will be fired with a rifle in the benchrest position. Only the contestant’s body is allowed to touch the bench. No part of the rifle or any accessories of the rifle can touch the bench. \nEach contestant will be allowed five (5) shots at their target which will have 52 playing cards + joker on it. \nThe event will be based on the scoring of 5-card stud poker. The poker hand will be determined by the official poker rules according to Hoyle. Best hand wins. \nThe distance from the firing line to the target is 50 yards. \nOnly rifles with a caliber smaller than .50cal will be allowed. \nIf the bullet hole breaks the card line it will count for that card. \nAll contestants must wear ear and eye protection for the event. \nAfter the contestant fires all five shots\, the judge will inspect the target to determine the poker hand. The results of the poker hand will be recorded and the winning hand will be announced. The judges decision is final. \nEach contestant must check in at the registration table on the day of the event ( March 17\, 2024). SUMMARY:Pumpkin Shoot
DESCRIPTION:Post Halloween Pumpkin Shoot\nHow do you carve a pumpkin? Join us for a fun event with pumpkins and “carve” your pumpkin’s face but in a two-person team using pistols. The competition is not only fun but there are even trophies for 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place for the best pumpkin faces. Refreshments and other fun activities will also be available. \nCost:\nNon-Members price $17.00 \nRange Members price $15.00 \nPre-Registration price $13.00 \n(Pre-Registration ends on 11/02/23 at 9:00 PM) \nRules\nTeams should pre-register before the 2nd of November by using the registration form\, email or by calling the range. Teams must check in at the registration table on the day of the event. Check-in starts at 10:00am and shooting starts at 11:00am. \nTeams consists of two people; both do not have to be members for the member pricing. \nThe event is fired with pistols in the standing position and using any caliber 9mm or larger. Team members are to fire at least 6 shots but no more than 10 shots. Shots are to be fired by having the each team member fire one shot and then have the other member shoot once until all shots have been fired. \nThe distance from the firing line to the pumpkin is a mere 20-30 feet. \nOnly pistols with iron sights will be allowed; but no scopes or electronic sights. \nTeam members must wear ear and eye protection for the event. \nAnyone who wants to compete but does not have a second person to make up a team is welcome. We will try to match them up with other singles on the day of the event. \nTo win the event\, a team will be judged to have made the best face in their pumpkin. This will be decided by an independent panel of judges who will set their own criteria for best face with 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

SUMMARY:Introduction to Clay Shooting Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This event is to introduce you to the Clay Shooting games which there are five different games. We will start with the history of Clay shooting all the way to current. We will also explain how all five games work and the etiquette and safety rules for playing them. All types of shotguns and actions will be discussed and why you would need them. \nAfter the classroom part is done we will move to the Trap range for the shooting part of the class. This will be about 25 to 40 shells as needed per shooter. Our goal is to have each shooter brake 25% to 50% or an increase of 10%. \nCost of the Work Shop is $85.00

SUMMARY:Poker Shoot
DESCRIPTION:The Poker Shoot will be fired with a rifle in the benchrest position. Only the contestant’s body is allowed to touch the bench. No part of the rifle or any accessories of the rifle can touch the bench. \nEach contestant will be allowed five (5) shots at their target which will have 52 playing cards + joker on it. \nThe event will be based on the scoring of 5-card stud poker. The poker hand will be determined by the official poker rules according to Hoyle. Best hand wins. \nThe distance from the firing line to the target is 50 yards. \nOnly rifles with a caliber smaller than .50cal will be allowed. \nIf the bullet hole breaks the card line it will count for that card. \nAll contestants must wear ear and eye protection for the event. \nAfter the contestant fires all five shots\, the judge will inspect the target to determine the poker hand. The results of the poker hand will be recorded and the winning hand will be announced. The judges decision is final. \nEach contestant must check in at the registration table on the day of the event ( March 19\, 2023). DESCRIPTION:FAST will be holding a Basic Concealed Carry class at Lead Valley Range. \nThis Basic Concealed Carry class meets the requirements  to apply for a CCW permit in the State of Colorado.  In the class we will go over the basics of pistols ( Including the different types of pistols\, action types\, parts of the pistol\, and cleaning). You will also review the different shooting stances; the laws on carrying concealed and what to do during and after a shooting incident. The class includes live fire with personal instruction on the range. The course is from 8am -4pm and the cost is $135.00 per person. \nPlease  RSVP for the class\, seating is limited.

SUMMARY:Pumpkin Shoot
DESCRIPTION:Post Halloween Pumpkin Shoot\nHow do you carve a pumpkin? Join us for a fun event with pumpkins and “carve” your pumpkin’s face but in a two-person team using pistols. The competition is not only fun but there are even trophies for 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place for the best pumpkin faces. Refreshments and other fun activities will also be available. \nCost:\nPre-Registration for non-members $13.00 \nRange Members $10.00 \nOn event day for non-members $15.00 \nRules\nTeams should pre-register before the 1st of November by using the registration form\, email or by calling the range. Teams must check in at the registration table on the day of the event. Check-in starts at 10:00am and shooting starts at 11:00am. \nTeams consists of two people; both do not have to be members for the member pricing. \nThe event is fired with pistols in the standing position and using any caliber 9mm or larger. Team members are to fire at least 6 shots but no more than 10 shots. Shots are to be fired by having the each team member fire one shot and then have the other member shoot once until all shots have been fired. \nThe distance from the firing line to the pumpkin is a mere 20-30 feet. \nOnly pistols with iron sights will be allowed; but no scopes or electronic sights. \nTeam members must wear ear and eye protection for the event. \nAnyone who wants to compete but does not have a second person to make up a team is welcome. We will try to match them up with other singles on the day of the event. \nTo win the event\, a team will be judged to have made the best face in their pumpkin. This will be decided by an independent panel of judges who will set their own criteria for best face with 1 st\, 2 nd and 3rd place winners.
